NJWedding.com has been promoting this contest online since November and received close to 900 contest entries. “This was a great way to introduce our region to new audiences, whether they are planning a wedding with us or planning a vacation, they now have an idea what a fabulous destination we are” stated Lori Pepenella Destination Marketing Director of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce. Long Beach Island, NJ – Kathleen Schmeelck was stuck in traffic on her way home from work when she received the call from Erik Kent, co-publisher of NJWedding.com, saying that she was the winner for the VIP Experience Package, which includes an overnight stay from Daddy O Boutique Hotel on April 18th and a white stretch limo to escort them throughout the Road Show open houses on April 19th. Kathleen, who just recently became engaged was planning on attending the Road Show, and was elated when she found herself the winner earlier this week. Kathleen’s family has been vacationing on LBI since the early 1970’s and has spent most of her summers enjoying the area. Her fiancée Mark Hoffman was introduced to Long Beach Island through Kathleen and was not surprised when she had hoped to plan their upcoming wedding on Long Beach Island. The bride to be will be attending the Road Show with her mother, cousin and a member of her wedding party.
