Cynthia’s Atelier Celebrates Grand Re-Opening in Belmar: A Creative Haven for Every Occasion

Belmar, NJ – Cynthia’s Atelier, a unique workshop dedicated to tailoring and alterations, invites the community to its grand re-opening on October 25, 2024, from 3 PM to 7 PM at its new location, 809 Main Street, Belmar, NJ. The event will feature live music, champagne, and a delightful selection of crudités, providing a fantastic opportunity for networking and celebration.

Founded during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cynthia’s Atelier emerged as a labor of love for Cynthia, a dedicated mother and entrepreneur. What began in her bedroom has transformed into a vibrant business that meets the diverse needs of the community. Cynthia’s Atelier specializes in alterations not just for brides and bridesmaids, but for anyone attending formal or casual events.

“I started this journey with limited resources but a strong passion for sewing,” says Cynthia. “I was a stay-at-home mom with a simple resume, but my skills—given to me by God—allowed me to create something beautiful and necessary. The most gratifying part of my work is addressing a need in the market that we didn’t even know existed five years ago.”

Cynthia’s Atelier has grown from a modest 450 sq. ft. space to a bustling 1,100 sq. ft. studio, where creativity flourishes. The main studio in Belmar houses the boutique in the front and fitting rooms in the back, ensuring a personalized experience for every client. Additionally, the Atelier has expanded to a second location in Summit, NJ, to better serve its clientele.

Cynthia’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and community support is evident. During the pandemic, she and her children sewed hundreds of masks, donating them to charities and later evolving into creating beautiful bridal pieces.
