NJWedding.com Celebrates 25th Year Serving The Local Wedding Community

Co-Publishers Erik & Beth Kent were inspired to create and develop their online business after planning their own wedding in New Jersey

Since its inception on Valentine’s Day in 1997, NJWedding.com has made it easy for engaged couples to find services such as wedding venues, DJs, photographers, videographers, wedding officiants and much more through the Internet in the comfort of their home or office. This local wedding planning web site enters its 25th year serving the wedding community on February 14, 2022, announced co-publishers Erik and Beth Kent. 

The Kents began formulating ideas for this directory after they planned their own wedding (they met at Rutgers University in 1990 and married at Kirkpatrick Chapel on the Old Queens campus in 1994). The site began to take shape, gain support from the local weddings community and evolve to become an interactive, online resource that helps engaged couples find the services and information they need.

According to The Wedding Report, a research company that collects and forecasts wedding statistics, there were an estimated 42,315 weddings in 2021 throughout New Jersey, and for 2022, there will be an estimated 55,759 weddings, as a result of many weddings being postponed during the previous two years.

NJWedding.com is the longest-running, most widely promoted portal of NJ marriage and wedding planning information, offering engaged couples the ability to search for local venues and services in their area through their computer or mobile device. Users can find listings which include details about a company's wedding services, including photo galleries, videos, blog posts and vendor reviews. The site currently features over 500 listings for various types of wedding businesses, as well as links to helpful articles and other planning tips and a calendar of upcoming bridal events. Visitors will be able to find the newest listings of advertisers, too.

Wedding vendors and engaged couples can also find NJWedding.com on popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram, providing an even greater and interactive experience to learn about the world of weddings and connect with members of the New Jersey wedding community. NJWedding.com also hosts popular wedding planning groups on Facebook, like "New Jersey Weddings" and recently expanded to create more groups that provide a hyper-local resource for couples and vendors.
